2012 Stamp Out Hunger
NALC Food Drive
20th Anniversary
Another Successful year! ~ It’s not too late to give!
The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) of Marco Island is pleased to report that the 20th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this past Sat. May 12, 2012 was very successful, bringing in over 17,000 pounds of needed food to the Marco Island Post Office alone.
The NALC thanks everyone who has made a donation and to all of the wonderful, hard working Marco Island volunteers. We couldn’t have done it without everyone’s devoted support.

The NALC is so very close to hitting this year’s Marco Island Post Office food drive donation goal of 30,000 pounds. But guess what? You can still help by leaving your non-perishable food donation for your carrier in a sturdy bag by your mail-box or by dropping off your donation in the large, marked, orange bin at the Marco Island Post Office lobby. So, please let your family, friends and neighbors all know that it’s not too late to give! There are many folks in Collier County that are truly relying on our donations to help put food on their family’s table. Our local food banks count on our donations to pull them through the summer months.<
For more information on how to volunteer for next year’s NALC Food Drive please call the NALC Food Drive co-coordinators, Elliott Mascoop at 298-1339 or Rivka Mascoop at 595-2932. For year long volunteer opportunities please join Collier Harvest in their ongoing effort to wipe out hunger in our community, you can either call 455-FOOD, or go online to www.collierharvest.org.
Thank you for all of your help!
